Exercise 16
Battement Tendu Pirouettes
en dehors
On the Other Side from Fourth Position
This is a combination of Battement Tendu, degage, change of directions, changes of body weight into double pirouettes.
The FLOOR PRESSURE here is all important,
as we come back to a good fifth position as was discussed at the barre.
Open battement tendu front, full degage with rond de jambe and switching corners, repeat degage and
2 x battement tendu to derriere.
Repeat from the left side.
2 x battement tendu to the side (changing legs) and quick battement jeté to First Position.
Repeat 2 x battement tendu, 3 x jetés, preparation on passé and pirouettes en dehors from Fourth Position close to the back and finish pirouettes in degage Fourth Position on the left side.
| Now we move into the other side. |
|
The center needs to be nice and strong to keep making the changeover from one foot to the other.
