Exercise 7
(Other side to the barre)
Battement Jeté
( Jeté means to stretch)
Stretching of the leg and foot away from the body with toes remaining on the surface of the floor.
2 x battement tendu jete devant, 2 x jeté piqué devant.
Switch legs and repeat to the back and to the side.
Finish with 7 x jetés to the First Position.
Repeat from the front with 2 x jetés and 2 x pas de chevals devant,
derriere and á la seconde and finish with 7 x closh.
|
For the Battement Jete exercise on the other side, we sutenu, and
prepare the arm.
|
|
|
The jeté is a big strong movement and we must come back to a good Fifth Position using a lot of floor
pressure.
|
|
|
The
glissé is a little bit lower in height, more in preparation for
the petit allegro...
So the speed of foot work is very important.
Again, instead of the piqué,
we add the petite developé.
|
Isolating the leg from the hip socket.
We finish with the battement closh. |
