4 x battement tendu derriere, full degage away from the barre, open side close to the Fifth Position and passé for changing leg to the back.

For this battement tendu exercise we are primarily working through

There is a transfer of weight, so each time we must check the supporting leg...

Working the ends of the toes through to the centre...
Heel leads toe back devante.

Then heel forward through the fourth position.

Keep the upper body strong and controlled...

 Plie in the centre,
transfer over the leg...

Strong through the arms and the upper back,
then retere passe finish. This is a balance at the end.
Reteré passé and start to reverse.
